JULIA'S MONDAY FORECAST: Foggy AM - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS

Julia Weiden's Monday Forecast

Good morning! Today officially marks the start to hurricane season. While there isn't any activity currently happening in the Atlantic Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico, it's time to get a plan together should a storm approach at any point this season.

Moderate fog will be present through the morning commute, burning off by mid morning. Early AM temperatures are in the mid and upper 60s. High this afternoon will be in the low and mid 80s with a humid feel. A cold front is slowly passing through the state, and will be closer to the coast by this afternoon. As a result a few showers and thunderstorms (some gusty with downpours) will pop up during the day.

Skies are partly cloudy tonight as fog redevelops. Lows tonight are in the low and mid 60s. The next several days will feature a lull in active weather. While conditions will be warm and humid, the threat for rain and thunder is lower from Tuesday through Saturday. Highs will be in the mid and high 80s to near 90 during that time frame.
