Today, marks the first official day of Hurricane Season and the Mississippi Department of Transportation would like to help you get prepared by obtaining free online resources.

Did you know that you can start this preparation process without even standing up and moving away from your computer or mobile device, right this minute?

In the event of a hurricane, information is KEY. 

Start your preparation process now by learning about ways to get the latest emergency resources from MDOT.

For starters, visit and find out ways you can prepare, what to include in your survival kit and download a copy of the 2015 Hurricane Evacuation Guide.

The updated Hurricane Evacuation Guide features loads of vital information, from evacuation maps, suggested evacuation routes and contraflow information, to critical contact information from the Mississippi Highway Patrol, American Red Cross, MEMA and DOTs and Highway Patrols in bordering states.
