Twenty-eight year old Johnny Williams has been convicted of capital murder by a Hinds County jury. He was charged in the death of his 18-month-old daughter, Jada Williams.
Jackson Police told us at the time of the arrest in July of 2012 that Williams was responsible for his daughter's death. Her mother, 26-year-old Jasmine Porter, was also charged.
Porter is still in the Hinds County jail.
The Hinds County Coroner said the toddler suffered severe bruising on her upper and lower torso, and confirmed there was evidence of old injuries.
