The City of Jackson and JPD are sending a message about environmental violations and how they will be enforced.

On Tuesday, two men were arrested for outstanding warrants for failure to appear in environmental court.

Police say they violated Community Improvement and Zoning ordinances.

53-year-old James Henderson is in violation of Section: 602.02.1.3 Zoning Ordinance/Illegal placement of a POD on residential property and illegal parking of a vehicle on grass/Commercial equipment in a residential area.

56-year-old Harrell Henderson is in violation of Section: 83.5 Zoning Ordinance 602.02.1 and 1107-A Illegal parked/stored vehicles/placed accessory structure and POD in residential zoned property.

The City of Jackson says they are sending a message that environmental violations will be "vigorously enforced" the same way as a misdemeanor or traffic warrant.

"You will be arrested, booked into the jail and go before a Judge," the city says in a press release.
