JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - An activist group has its sights on set on closing another Jackson convenience store they accuse of selling drug paraphernalia.

Respect Our Black Dollars protested at Fast Lane at 1157 East Northside Drive Sunday.

Members entered the business and confronted workers about shelves stocked with scales, smoking pipes and synthetic urine.

The products are displayed next to candy near the register.

A disclaimer taped to the glass casing says the products are for tobacco products only, but no loose tobacco is sold at the location.

Respect Our Black Dollars President Stanley Wesley and others are outraged at the sales and say the merchandise is only sold in Black communities.

"The job asks them to take a drug test and happens they buy this and pass the drug test and put a lot of people's lives in danger and go out there and kill a lot of folks just because they slipped through the cracks with this synthetic urine," said Wesley.

Workers removed some merchandise when questioned by the organization, but made no comment about the sales.

The group's repeated protests of similar sales and violent crimes at Express Fuel on Northside Drive led to its closure by a judge last month as a nuisance to the community.
