JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - A rally was held Sunday evening in memory of Eric Hambrick who died after he was beaten and robbed in the parking lot of a Jackson restaurant.

People from all walks of life from all areas of the Capital City gathered in prayer near the site where Hambrick was attacked.

Working Together Jackson assembled to emphasize that All Lives Matter and hope local clergy will work on long and short term solutions.

Organizers say Hambrick lost his life in a month of violence.

The MEMA employee was found beaten and robbed on May 28th and died of his injuries just two days later.

"A couple of years ago we commemorated, we demanded justice for James Craig Anderson and young white adults attacked and murdered him in the same way. we're here recognizing the value of Mr. Hamrick's life too," said Bishop Ronnie Crudup with Working Together Jackson.

Nineteen year old Arkel Coleman and 18 year old Shrederrick Anderson have been charged in the case.
