The 5th Annual Vicksburg National Military Park Junior Ranger Summer Camp is inviting children ages 8-12 to discover the fascinating history of the Civil War era.
The camp will be held during the week of Monday, June 22nd to Friday, June 26th, from 9 a.m. to noon each day.
This summer's Junior Ranger Camp will explore the cultural resources of Vicksburg National Military Park through a series of demonstrations and activities led by artisans, historians, and musicians from this region.
The camp is free, but space is limited to 20 applicants.
Registration is required and the application deadline has been extended to midnight, Tuesday, June 16th. Selection will be made by lottery system.
Those selected will be notified on Wednesday, June 17th.
