Jackson man arrested in barbershop drug bust

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - Hinds County deputies say a Jackson man faces several charges after being arrested Friday afternoon during a drug bust at a Capital City barbershop.

Spokesperson Othor Cain said Marcus Hamblin, 37, is charged with one count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm.

The arrest comes as part of a months-long investigation and drug bust at Cut City on Bullard Street.

Our photographer saw three people taken into custody shortly after investigators served a search warrant and found several different illegal substances, including marijuana, xanax and liquid codeine.
