Jackson man arrested for felony exploitation of a vulnerable person

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - A Jackson man has been arrested, following indictment for felony exploitation of a vulnerable person. Thirty-two year old Matthew Hubbard turned himself in Monday following an indictment by the Harrison County Grand Jury.

At the time the crimes were committed, Hubbard, who was employed as a care giver at a facility in south Mississippi, allegedly took the resident to co-sign a car loan totaling $21,288.95. If convicted, Hubbard faces up to 10 years behind bars and $10,000 in fines. 

The case is being investigated by and prosecuted by the Mississippi Attorney General's Office Medicaid Control Fraud Unit.
