UTICA, MS (Mississippi News Now) - Visiting a cemetery on Father's Day is a sad occasion, but finding his grave vandalized for a second time is heartbreaking for one Utica Family.

Eugene Jones and his son Tranell Epps are buried at the Greater White Oak M.B. Church cemetery.

Sunday family members found both head stones damaged.

Pictures of the deceased were sprayed with black paint, including the letters VL.

Vases and stone ornaments were also broken.

Kayla Jones said the grave of her 55 year old father was first discovered vandalized on May 24th.

He was buried May 20, 2015. That headstone was replaced.

The grave desecrations are heartbreaking for the family.

"We come out here today which is Father's Day and we come to put flowers down and cut grass and make sure that it looks nice for Father's Day, let balloons go and when we walk up to the grave this is what we have, another vandalism," said Jones.

The family is reaching out to the public for help. If you know anything about this crime please contact the Copiah County Sheriff's Department at 601-894-3011.
