JULIA WEIDEN'S FIRST ALERT FORECAST

AM Commute: No weather surprises here! Expect hazy skies and temperatures mainly in the mid and high 70s. By 9:00 AM we'll be in the low 80s.

Afternoon: Heat and humidity combine to make for a sweltering day. Highs hit the low 90s, but it feels closer to 100. It's a mostly dry day with a mix of sun and clouds. A shower or thunderstorm is possible in the late afternoon and evening, mainly near Highway 84. Winds are out of the south at 5-15 mph.

Tonight: Skies are partly cloudy tonight and temperatures fall slowly through the 80s. By daybreak Wednesday we'll be in the mid 70s.

Rest of the Week: Our pattern is a fairly dry one. Each day only has chances for isolated rain and thunder, with high pressure keeping our weather quiet. Heat and humidity play a larger role in our forecast with each day hitting in the low to mid 90s. The heat index will make it feel more like 100 to 105.
