BROOKHAVEN, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Brookhaven Police are questioning people about the shooting death of 43-year-old Bridget London Hall.

It happened late Monday night inside the victim's home on Vivian Merritt Street. The London family talked with us about the life of their sister and a woman that will be missed.

"I'm going to miss my baby sister," said Francis London. "I'm the oldest girl out of the 12 children and I'm just going to miss her. We used to hang out together a lot. And the last time I saw her, we were together with our dad for Father's Day."

A grieving family is heartbroken after their baby sister's life was suddenly taken.

"It's hard. It's hard. I've cried enough. I think I've cried all my tears out now," added Francis.

Hall's older brother, Ted London, said his sister was a loving mother of four who you could always find in the choir on Sunday mornings.

"Very Christian person. Had a great, great voice. Beautiful voice," said Ted. "She's a singing bird. She could really, really sing. My mom could sing, so she took after my mom."

London said while her beauty will never be forgotten, he is still in disbelief that someone could take the life of an innocent human being.

"Everybody should be able to live at their house and be safe in their home," added Ted. "Not for somebody to come up, knock on the door and be shot down like a dog, while the kids are standing right there looking at her. She had kids at the house. We want justice. We do not want this case swept up under the rug. Someone did this. Someone killed my sister who did not deserve to die."

"I'm going to miss her," added Francis.

Police said they are actively investigating and are questioning witnesses.
