BROOKHAVEN, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Witnesses are talking to Brookhaven Police about what they saw the night 43 year old Bridget London Hall was shot and killed inside her home. We also found out Hall was helping plan a, Stop the Violence March just hours before her life was taken.

"Bridget was a loving individual," said Lameshia McMorris. "She had a kind heart. She loved her children. She loved her family."

McMorris, who was a friend of Hall, said Hall had a passion for helping others. Following crimes in the past several weeks in Brookhaven and surrounding areas,  McMorris wanted to take a stand and was organizing a Stop the Violence March. She said Bridget Hall was helping with the effort.

"And as soon as I moved that date up, she was ready and willing," said McMorris. "She reached out. She wanted to do what she could to do whatever she could for the families affected and the following day Bridget was killed."

McMorris showed WLBT the last post Hall made on her Facebook page just hours before her life was taken. She was sharing information about the Stop the Violence March for others to come out in support.

"Once I heard about the murder, I was deeply affected, added McMorris. "Not only that, she had reached out to help me with the cause. She was killed at the hands at what I was trying to stop."

e march will be held in Brookhaven July 18 beginning at 9 a.m. in downtown Brookhaven.
