WARREN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Two Warren County men, who are accused of kidnapping a woman and throwing her from a moving car, have been arrested.

Bail has been denied for both 37-year-old Cory Michael Gibson and 39-year-old Sherwood Winston Lyons. They are charged with kidnapping and attempted murder.

The woman who was kidnapped said that on June 29, Gibson and Lyons were in a vehicle that pulled in front of her in her car.  They got out with guns and forced her into their vehicle.  At some time later down the road they threw her out of the car.

The River Region's ER called authorities that same night, saying a woman had been abducted and then thrown from a vehicle. She was treated for injuries and released from the Hospital.

The sheriff said this all connects back to a previous issue between all the parties.  They all know one another.  The sheriff would not go into details about htat issue.

Gibson was arrested July 9th after a patrol office spotted his vehicle and pulled him over. Lyons was arrested the previous day at his residence which is  100 Big Mama Drive. Sheriff Martin Pace says there might be additional arrests in the case.

Gibson and Lyons are being held at the Warren County Jail.

Attempted murder is punishable by 20 years to life in prison.
