A hot day like Saturday called for some lemonade!
A group of young girls outside Cobo's clothing store in Brandon heeded the call of passersby Saturday with ice cold lemonade for sale. Their proceeds are going to the Blair E. Batson Hospital.
It's the second year for their charitable drink station. Their parents thought up the fun and productive activity, and their plan is to use the cash to buy snacks and drinks for the children's hospital patients.
"We raised money for Blair E. Batson to have snacks for the children to have something to eat," says 6-year-old Fallon Frisby.
"Kids in need. It hurts yourself when you see those people wanting and they can't get it," adds 12-year-old, Corley Wyatt.
Just about everyone who stopped by donated to their cause.
The girls hoped to raise about $1,000.
