JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Black Rodeo Parade ushered in the Black Rodeo Saturday morning.

The clip-clop of horse hoofs could be heard throughout downtown Jackson as horse clubs, local officials, and rodeo enthusiasts took to the streets.
It's hosted by Jackson Black Rodeo of Mississippi.

"It's the 15-year anniversary, and we enjoy doing it, and even the horse enjoys doing it. We come out and try to participate every year," says Richard Taylor of the Desperado Horse Club.

"Whether it's in a car, whether it's on horses, motorcycles, nice cars, antique cars, whatever it is, It's something you get to sight see," says Quanita Mitchell of Scott County, who came out to watch the parade.

This is the 13th year for the Black Rodeo Parade, and hundreds came to watch.
