JULIA'S FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Wednesday

**A Heat Advisory is in effect for many counties in central Mississippi today and Thursday. Temperatures will feel like 105-110° this afternoon**

AM Commute: It's going to be another hazy, blue sky morning! The sun comes up at 6:04AM and will feel blazing by mid morning. Temperatures as you step into the office building will be in the mid 80s, but feel more like low 90s.

Afternoon: Keep the ACs cranked up today! I'm expecting another day that will feel around 105° in the Jackson area, with temperatures only actually reaching the mid 90s. Natchez Trace corridor and farther north have a bit better likelihood of hitting a heat index of 105-110. Areas farther south (Jefferson, Copiah, Simpson Counties and the Highway 84 corridor) are no longer in the Heat Advisory, but will be around 100-105 for a heat index today.

Afternoon showers and thunderstorms will develop in the northern portion of our area this afternoon. This will occur roughly near Highway 82. A few strong storms are a possibility. They will end after sunset.

Rest of the Week: The hot and humid pattern holds steady! We're fairly stagnant through the rest of the work week. A tad bit more heat is possible on Saturday and Sunday. As of now, there's a tiny indication that the trend may change to introduce slightly lower temperatures by mid next work week, but it's still very early to say for sure. I'll keep you updated here and on-air!
