Vandals target cars and businesses in Vicksburg

VICKSBURG, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Vicksburg Police are increasing patrols around the city. There have been at least 20 different shootings involving businesses and cars this week. 

Chief Walter Armstrong told us Thursday night it began Sunday night and happened again Tuesday night.  

He said someone is using a B-B or pellet gun to shoot out the windows of cars and businesses. Lee's Body Shop and Miller's Tire Mart on Clay Street have been targeted, as well as vehicles on Drummond Street.

Chief Armstrong says nothing has been taken.  There have been no injuries. Anyone with information is asked to call Vicksburg Police or Crime Stoppers.
