More counties added to the Heat Advisory this weekend

**A Heat Advisory is in effect for much of central Mississippi through Saturday until 7pm. We will likely see this Heat Advisory extended beyond that time.**

AM Commute: It's the last morning commute of the work week! It won't feel much different from previous mornings. Temperatures land in the mid 80s at 9am with a "feels like" near 90.

Afternoon: The heat piles on under mostly sunny skies. Highs hit the mid and upper 90s with a heat index up to 110°. The Heat Advisory has been expanded to include counties farther south, now including Franklin, Lincoln, Lawrence, and Jefferson Davis Counties.

Evening: If you're headed out on the town, expect temps to be in the upper 80s and low 90s around suppertime. The skies are mostly clear. The sun goes down at 8:07pm. Lows tonight dip only toward the mid 70s by dawn on Saturday.

This Weekend: As of now it looks like heat will only be increasing as we head through the weekend. High temperatures creep towards the century mark. We will likely see more Heat Advisories and possibly Excessive Heat Warnings on Saturday and Sunday. Make your plans now to keep cool, and avoid being outside too much this weekend!
