Beginning at 11:00 A.M. on Sunday, July 19, restaurants, convenience stores and grocery stores may begin selling beer and light wine in the city of Clinton.
The Clinton Board of Aldermen voted to amend the city's beer and light wine ordinance June 16. The change allows the sale of beer and light wine between the hours of 11:00 A.M. and midnight on Sunday. The amended ordinance allows restaurants to sell beer and light wine by the glass. Additionally, the amended ordinance allows for the sale of beer and light wine in grocery and convenience stores.
Mayor Phil Fisher and the Board have also petitioned the Alcohol Beverage Commission of the Department of Revenue (DOR) for the right to sell distilled spirits and wine on Sunday. You can find more info at City of Clinton website.
