JULIA'S FORECAST: Scorching temperatures continue to burn

Julia Weiden's First Alert Monday Forecast

**A Heat Advisory continues through 7pm Tuesday. This includes ALL counties in the state.**

AM Commute: You're walking into a wall of mugginess when you step out the door this morning. Temperatures are in the mid 70s to near 80 at daybreak (6:07 AM) and climb to the upper 80s by 9:00 AM. No rain is expected, just hazy skies.

This Afternoon: Lunchtime will be oppressively hot in the mid 90s and a heat index near 105°. By mid afternoon the high temperature will be near 100° with a heat index up to 110°. If possible, avoid being outdoors today. Strenuous activity should NOT be performed at this time- save your outdoor jog for the early morning or late evening hours.

Rain and thunder isn't terribly likely, but a stray shower or storm can't be ruled out. Most see a mix of sun and clouds.

Tonight: Lows drop only to the mid 70s to near 80. Skies are mostly clear with a gauzy layer of haze.

Week Ahead: Right now there isn't any sign of a cool down. There are going to be occasional showers and thunderstorms during the middle and end of the work week, but the rain chances are still low-end.
