CLINTON (GoChoctaws.com) - With the 2015 Mississippi College football season right around the corner, Robinson-Hale Stadium is set to get a face-lift this summer as a new playing surface will be installed.
EnviroTurf, a company based out of Madison, Miss., will be installing the EnviroTurfDF product.
"EnviroTurfDF is a strategically blended combination of tough EnvirotTurfM and soft EnviroTurfSF. Superior appearance, feel, playability, consistency, and longevity come together in EnviroTurfDF. EnviroMax is a 46oz product with the same triple ply backing used throughout the EnviroTurf line. Unique to EnviroTurf, EnviroTurfDF combines the best features of EnviroTurfM and EnviroTurfSF, offering a field that is lush, beautiful, and durable." - from EnviroTurf website.
Grady Turman, Head of Transportation, Athletic Grounds and Special Events, was a vital part of making the decision to go with EnviroTurf.
"EnviroTurf is a Mississippi-based company, and we are proud to partner with them," said Turman. "They have a quality product, and we are excited to be installing one of their newest products, EnviroTurfDF."
Athletic director Mike Jones is pleased with the choice of EnviroTurf and looks forward to more facility upgrades.
"It's exciting to see Robinson-Hale Stadium get new turf in time for the 2015 season," said Jones. "We are blessed to be able to make this upgrade, and I look forward to more upgrades for all our programs in the near future."
The project began on Saturday, July 18th, and will be completed before the Choctaws open practice on August 13th.
