JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Registration for Jackson Public Schools started Wednesday and is now an online process, which makes getting a student registered for school easier.

Before registration begins, parents must make an initial visit to the school in their attendance zone to begin the online registration process.

If you are unsure about your child’s school attendance zone, click here to visit the website that locates the child’s school attendance and follow the steps to Find their Attendance zone.

A snap code is required to complete online registration. Supporting documentation such as a driver’s license, mortgage document, and/or utility bill must be presented to receive a Snap Code.

Completing online registration requires access to a computer with a connection to the Internet. Computer labs are set up at each school and will be open during normal school hours, which began July 13 for parents who do not have access to a computer.

For additional information on registration and required documents, call the Office of Pupil Placement at 601-960-8852.
