JULIA'S FORECAST: In the midst of a dry stretch, slightly greater rain chances

Julia Weiden's First Alert Tuesday Forecast

**A Heat Advisory remains in effect for counties in the Delta, where temperatures will feel as hot as 110° this afternoon.**

AM Commute: No surprises here- the day starts off with haze and humidity, Morning temperatures are in the upper 70s at 7AM and in the mid 80s by 9AM. The commute is rain-free.

This Afternoon: Just like yesterday, the majority of the day is rain free. A few isolated showers/storms are a possibility, but not terribly likely. I'm pegging the rain chance at 20%. Highs hit the upper 90s with most of central MS feeling as hot as 105°.

Tonight: Any lingering showers clear and skies are partly cloudy. Lows tonight dip into the mid 70s with a muggy feel.

Rest of the Week: I'm watching a system in the northwest portion of the country- it's a low pressure system with a trailing cold front. As it approaches, the high pressure system that has kept us so dry will retreat westward, allowing for rain and thunder to impact more areas on Wednesday and Thursday as the cold front passes through. While relief won't be significant after the front passes, humidity will feel slightly better Friday and the weekend.
