Julia Weiden's First Alert Tuesday Forecast
AM Commute: Hazy skies and quickly warming temperatures rule the morning! The sun is up at 6:17AM with temperatures in the 70s. By the time we're heading into the office at 9AM the temperatures will be in the mid 80s.
This Afternoon: Heat and humidity aren't going anywhere. Highs are in the upper 90s to near 100 today. If we do hit 100, it will be for the 6th time this summer! Skies are mostly sunny with only a few fair weather clouds.
If you're planning on being outside during the suppertime hours, temperatures will still be in the upper 80s and low 90s.
Rest of the Week: There are only a few chances for showers and storms this week. On Wednesday a couple of afternoon pop up storms could reach a few of us, but most stay dry. A slightly greater threat for rain and thunder exists Thursday, especially in the late afternoon and evening. Highs both days are in the mid and upper 90s. A lingering shower could reintroduce itself on Friday, but most will just see partly cloudy skies.
This Weekend: High pressure builds over us again this weekend with some intensely hot temperatures. We have a few more shots at hitting 100 or higher. Not much rain is expected; in fact skies should be mostly sunny.
