Former Executive Director of Human Services files complaint against JPS

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The former Executive Director of Human Services for Jackson Public schools has filed a complaint against JPS.

Carol Dorsey seeks a temporary restraining order, punitive and compensatory damages against Superintendent Cedrick Gray and the district claiming; the school board never accepted or rejected Dr. Gray's recommendation to terminate her.

The complaint also claims Dr. Gray hatched a plan with district counsel Joanne Shepherd to cover up Gray's plan to recommend Pastor Jeffrey Stallworth for the position.

In an email response, JPS spokesman Sherwin Johnson said Jackson Public Schools does not comment on personnel or legal matters.
