JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Sanderson Farms has signed a 10 year deal to remain the title sponsor of the PGA Tour event in Jackson.

Sanderson Farms was in the second year of a 3 year deal with the PGA Tour to serve as title sponsor. The new deal extends to 2026.

This is the longest sponsorship in the PGA Tour.

The tournament director, Steve Jent, says, "This deal brings stability for the event and the City of Jackson."

Mayor Tony Yarber released this statement about the decision:

“We’re excited about Sanderson Farms’ decision to remain the title sponsor of the PGA event in Mississippi’s capital city through 2026. The Sanderson Farms PGA Championship is a premiere tournament drawing thousands to Jackson, where they patronize retail shops, restaurants and hotels. The tournament helps boost our economy and place us on a national stage, showing that our great city is a venue to host world-class events.”
