Armed robbery and auto burglary suspect arrested

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

After several months of eluding police, Sunday an armed robbery and auto burglary suspect was apprehended.

JPD Officer Colendula Green said officers responded to 3775 Bailey Ave. Sunday regarding an anonymous tip that Pitrell Brister was at the location. Brister was wanted on several felony warrants for his arrest.

Greens aid upon officers’ arrival, they were able to detain Brister without incident. He was transported to the city holding facility in Jackson and later arrested on four counts of armed robbery and five counts of auto burglary.

An accomplice of Brister's, Marquez Washington, is still wanted by the Jackson Police Department on several felony charges, including several counts of armed robbery, armed carjacking and auto burglary.

Back in April 2015 Brister and Washington, were named as suspects in several auto burglaries, armed robbery and for shooting a victim they were attempting to rob.
