JACKSON (Jackson.K12.MS.US) - Lanier High School received a $6,500 grant from the National Football League Foundation. The grant will be used to:
The NFL provides the opportunity to receive grants to high school football programs in honor of NFL players who support those programs. Sylvester Stamps, a former Jackson State University and NFL player, is on the coaching staff at Lanier High School. Stamps played in the league for six seasons, including five seasons as a running back for the Atlanta Falcons.
