TERRY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Terry family has made sure six children remain together through the holidays.

Six siblings had nowhere to turn; nowhere to put their heads down.

According to family members they were recently removed from their parent's custody.

Kathy and Charles Harrell, their aunt and uncle, managed to arrange for the children to stay with them instead of being separated in foster care. Even though they had little room, they took them in.

Mary Hargon, a family member, knew something must be done to help.

"We have two 5-year-old twins, one has a heart condition," said Hargon. "Then we have a 10-year-old, a 12-year-old girl, then a 14-year-old son, and a 17-year-old boy."

The children's aunt stepped in quickly after allegations of abuse and neglect were reported to the state welfare system. She nominated the family for Miskelly's Season of Giving.

"We saw a need because four girls were on a mattress on the floor. One king size mattress. "

With a full house and dire need, Miskelly's responded.

Monday a truckload of new furniture pulled up. Headboards, chests and mattresses!

Touching not only for the family, but also to Miskelly's employees who got to be a part of this season of giving.

"The kids all came out and saw, saw the new furniture, and saw the were going to have new beds to sleep on tonight, said Bert Bell. "Just to see the joy on their face."

Even though they are in tight quarters, six children who have had their lives disrupted, can settle in their own beds with their wish of being together at Christmas granted.
