BATESVILLE, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Tuesday a major operation, Operation Bite Back, netted 9 suspected gang members in Batesville.

A total of 17 were indicted in the crackdown on suspected gang members.

Information gathered during the Jessica Chambers murder investigation helped in the bust. The 19-year-old was burned alive on a rural road.

The case has remain unsolved, even with a huge reward.

The special agent in charge of the FBI's Jackson office, Don Alway, put the following statement on twitter Tuesday morning following the pre-dawn raid:

"Today the FBI in concert with our state and local partners is conducting a major law enforcement operation targeting suspected gang members, who have been indicted on a variety of state, local and federal charges."

Those indicted by the Fed's made their initial appearance in federal court in Oxford Tuesday afternoon.
But will this help solve the cold case murder of Jessica Chambers in Panola County?

We have learned the arrests are "indirectly" linked to Chambers'  unsolved murder.

When word of the arrests broke, the Justice for Jessica Facebook page blew up with comments, many hoping that the one who murdered her will be found. Others are hoping her parents will have closure this Christmas.

Still, no one has been charged in connection with her death.
