JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Two city of Jackson employees, who work for the Department of Public Works, have been arrested for taking money under the table to leave people's water on.

In an evening news conference, Mayor Tony Yarber said that 38-year-old Marcus Banks had been doing this since 2008 and was involved in stealing more than $14,000 worth of water. Forty-seven year of Percy Watkins was also involved, but the two men were not working together.

Yarber says that the city is investigating 20-30 people who they believe were paying Banks and Watkins money.
