Police investigate early morning auto break-ins

Happy "hump day"! It's a dreary Wednesday afternoon in the Jackson metro area. I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT news.

Jackson police are investigating ten auto burglaries in the Cedar Grove sub-division in South Jackson. The break-ins happened before dawn.

Plus, the mayor says water thieves are costing the city of Jackson thousands of dollars in revenue and some city employees are to blame. We have the latest.

And, waste water is being dumped into the Big Black River because of a failed pipe.

In sports, a look at Alcorn's rise to their first bowl game in 47 years.

    Surveillance cameras captured someone opening fire at a gas station in Jasper. Police are looking for one of the people they said opened fire on Friday night, while the other is still in a hospital.
