JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

On Christmas Eve morning, an armed robbery took place at Trustmark Bank on Terry road and Highway 80.

According to JPD, as they arrived on the scene they learned that at about 9:30 am an unidentified black woman entered the bank and passed a note to the teller announcing the robbery and demanding money.

The suspect was able to flee the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

During the investigation, it was learned that she was accompanied by an unknown suspect in a white 1999 Chevy Suburban with chrome wheels.

This is believed to be the vehicle used in the robbery.

A suburban matching this description was later found by investigators near Bailey Avenue and confirmed as the vehicle used in the robbery.

The driver, 44-year-old Carl Burse, was detained for questioning and later arrested and charged with Armed Robbery of a Bank and booked in the City Jail.

Anyone with any information on the identity and/or location of the woman involved in this incident is urged to contact the Jackson Police Department at 601-960-1234 or 601-355-TIPS.
