JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Two are behind bars after robbing a Trustmark Bank on Christmas Eve.

The suspects, 41-year-old Monique Green and 44-year-old Carl Burse, were charged with bank robbery after Green, who was wearing a hooded jacket and jeans, passed a note demanding money to a bank teller.

She fled the bank with an undetermined amount of money and jumped into a white 1999 Chevy Suburban with chrome wheels driven by Burse.

Investigators later saw a car on Bailey Avenue matching the description of the one used in the robbery.

The car was stopped and confirmed as the one used in the robbery. The driver, Burse, was detained for questioning, and later arrested and charged with bank robbery.

Detectives identified the female suspect as Green, who surrendered to police on Monday.

She was also arrested and charged with bank robbery and booked into the City Jail.
