No indictments in Neshoba County Jail death

NESHOBA COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The family of Michael McDougle says they have been informed a grand jury has failed to indict anyone in connection with his November 2014 death.

The attorney for the family, Carlos Moore, says McDougle died while he was in the Neshoba County Jail for less than 8 hours.

Moore also tells us a federal judge has ruled the family can proceed with it's lawsuit against the City of Philadelphia, four police officers, Neshoba County and it's sheriff.

The suit accuses them of brutally beating and using a taser on McDougle. An autopsy concluded he died from head trauma and mixed drug toxicity.
