JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Precinct Two officers responded to a fatal shooting sometime after four o'clock Monday inside a business on Capital Street.

According to Jackson police, the person taken into custody was not arrested, and the case will be turned over to the Hinds County Grand Jury.

Jackson Police are investigating the second fatal shooting of the Year.

This time inside a cell phone store while customers witnesses the horrific incident.

J.P.D. identifies the victim as 43 year old Eddie Wansley.

Commander Tyree Jones said Wansley was found shot inside the Metro PCS Cell Phone Store in the 3,000 block of Capital Street.

The store is in the same small shopping plaza as the Family Dollar Store.

Wansley's body was found behind the counter of the cell phone business.

Jones said surveillance video shows the victim and a store employee had some sort of argument before the shooting.

Hinds county Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart said he is from Braxton and was shot twice in the chest.

According to investigators, the suspect is a store employee who was taken in for questioning along with another store worker and someone inside the store at the time.

Police say the incident was not a robbery.

"We're looking at surveillance footage right now but what we can tell you is there was an altercation that happened here that led to this incident," said Commander Jones."We did recover a weapon that we believe was used in the incident inside the business."

Kemo Roberts, who owns a nearby detail shop, said robberies are becoming a common occurrence in the area and he is constantly on guard.

"The Family Dollar next door to it and the Metro PCS you know they've been robbed frequently off and on. If it ain't the customers are getting robbed outside, it's the people getting robbed in the store. It's dark around here as you can see, ain't no light," said Roberts.

The recovered weapon was a small caliber handgun.

A car was also towed from the scene.

The name of the employee who fired the fatal shots has not been released.
