JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson Police are investigating a triple shooting that happened at Sinclair Apartments on Bailey Avenue Wednesday night.

Two women and one man were approached by a man with a shot gun. Our reporter talked to a man who owns a business nearby, but did not want to be identified.

"I pulled up at 7:00 on the dot and I heard a loud boom, sounded like an explosion," he said. A young lady came out and said a woman and her brother were shot in the face."

JPD Spokesperson, Officer Colendula Green says the suspect shot the victims with buckshots. One victim had injuries to the face and the other two in their legs. People who live in the neighborhood say the violence has gotten out of hand.

"It's like a war zone here and nobody wants to admit it nobody wants to talk about it. Nobody wants to do anything about it. But we have to stand together in this community to start doing something about this violence," someone said.

They were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  We don't have much of a suspect description, but we are told the shooter is a 5 foot 8 black male, dressed in all black, about 216 pounds. Police are still investigating a motive.
