Package thief suspects identified

RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Police in several metro area cities are searching for two very bold criminals. Investigators identified them as Gregory Montreal Magee and Kenya Michelle Knotts. The duo are stealing packages from peoples homes.
The two have been caught on home surveillance cameras across the city, taking items from homes.

"It appears they are fairly brazen," said Rankin county investigator D-Lo Thornton. "Were asking the public to be vigilant, keep their eyes open ,if they see somebody suspicious that does not belong in the neighborhood give us a call,"

They were driving a silver Hyundai Sonata in many of the crimes, but they may now have switched cars according to investigators.
Investigators say over twenty homes were hit, with thousands off dollars of items stolen.

Investigators have taken dozens of reports of stolen packages from the Cypress Lake subdivision in Madison to the Live Oaks subdivision in Rankin county.
Police say everything from CD's, hair weaves to vacuum cleaners have been swiped by the duo.

"We are trying to collect some of the property," added Thornton. "If we do, once an arrest is made we hope to be able to return some of that property, So give us a call and we'll send a deputy out and have a report taken of the incident. "

Investigators believe the two many have now switched to a different car, possibly a Ford 500 with Rankin county tag, RDZ-243.
