JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Salvation Army employees in Jackson are in full disaster relief mode.

Several workers took an emergency disaster services truck to the town of Strong Hope on Monday night.

They served dinner to about fifty people impacted by the storms.

Captain Ken Chapman says the Salvation Army is geared up and ready to go wherever they're called to next.

In the meantime Chapman encourages the community to help out too!

"The kinds of things that help tremendously in these kinds of disasters are paper goods and things for our pantry that we can give out to people. Clothing, even furnishings because we'll be able to help people who've lost their homes and furnishings," says Captain Ken Chapman, the Area Commander for the Salvation Army in Jackson.
