Jury selection has begun in the case of a Canton man accused of gunning down another man outside the Madison County Courthouse last year.
Madison County District Attorney Michael Guest says opening statements could come as early as Monday afternoon in the case against William Wells.
Wells was charged in the shooting death of Kendrick Armond Brown.
Police say Wells walked up and shot Brown, who was waiting outside the courthouse to appear in his own criminal case. Wells is currently free on bond.
