Mississippi doctor's murder examined by Dateline

Dateline took a closer look at a case where a Mississippi woman was pushed to her death on top of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Harold Henthorn was convicted in the murder of Jackson Ophthalmologist, Dr. Toni Bertolet Henthorn last year.

Dateline reporter Andrea Canning talked with family members who still live in Mississippi and retraced the day of her death and the investigation by federal authorities.

Family, friends and co-workers were convinced Harold Henthorn was responsible for his wife's death.

Todd Bertolet, Toni Henthorn’s brother said,

“That was what was so odd. We never saw any emotion out of him when we went to Denver," said Todd Bertolet, Toni Henthorn's brother. "The only time he cried was when he got the phone call that my sister's death certificate was gonna say pending. And he was more angry than anything else."

Harold Henthorn was sentenced to life in prison for Toni Henthorn's death. Dateline also focused on the death of his first wife and why investigators now believe she was also murdered.
