JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Tornado Watch is in effect until 3 a.m. north of a line from Port Gibson through Vicksburg and Yazoo City and to Lexington, including the entire counties of Claiborne, Yazoo, Holmes, Humphreys, Warren, Sharkey & Issaquena.

Thunderstorms will increase tonight, with the potential for heavy rain and isolated severe weather, mainly after midnight and through the early morning hours Thursday. Lows tonight will be in the 60s.

Tomorrow poses some concern, because it is dependent on how the morning goes. Should skies clear or we see the atmosphere destabilize, thunderstorms could develop rapidly and turn severe, causing hail, flooding rain and tornadoes.

The threat would go from around 11am to 9pm in the evening. Highs tomorrow will be in the lower 80s.

A few showers may be left-over Friday, but otherwise expect sunshine developing with highs in the 70s.
