Jackson man pleads guilty to identity tax fraud

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Jackson man has been sentenced to 16 months in prison for stolen identity tax fraud and 36 months of supervised release.

Stephen Graham was also ordered to pay over 37 thousand dollars in restitution to the I-R-S.  Graham was sentenced after pleading guilty to conspiring with Verneshia Cody, the owner and operator of a Jackson based business, TDK Accounting and Tax Services.

Cody, Graham, Benjamin Taylor and Cheryl Warren admitted using stolen names and information of patients at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta to create and file false income tax returns with the Internal Revenue Service.
