JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson police are investigating the Capital City's latest fatal shooting after a man was found dead inside a vehicle on Robinson Road near Prentiss Street.

Investigators say 32 year old Shaun Millsaps of Jackson was shot multiple times inside a blue compact.

The shooting suspect is identified as 32 year old Jabori Harris.

Precinct 2 Officers were called to the 800 block of Brandon Avenue for a shooting around 6:48 p.m.

That is not far from Robinson Road where Millsaps was found.

Harris reportedly left the scene in a black Chevy Equinox.

That car was found a short time later by police in the 300 block of Myer Avenue.

Authorities said Harris shot Millsaps while he sat in the car with a woman, reportedly his girlfriend.

The victim was the acquaintance. We do believe the victim's girlfriend is the ex-girlfriend of the suspect. So right now it's still in it's preliminary stages so far," said JPD Officer Colendula Green.

The girlfriend who was not identified was taken to JPD headquarters for questioning.

If you have seen Jabori Harris or know where he is call Jackson Police or Crimestoppers.
