Suspect in Robinson Road homicide turns himself in

Jabori Harris, the suspect in a homicide that happened Wednesday night has turned himself into police.

On April 6, Jackson police were investigating the capital city's latest deadly shooting after a man was found dead inside a vehicle on Robinson Road near Prentiss Street around 6:38 p.m.

Investigators say 32-year-old Shaun Milsap of Jackson was shot multiple times inside a blue compact.

The shooting suspect was identified as 32 year old Jabori Harris.

Harris left the scene that night in a black Chevy Equinox.

That car was found a short time later by police in the 300 block of Myer Avenue.

Authorities said Harris shot Milsap while he sat in the car with a woman, possibly his girlfriend.

The victim was the acquaintance. Police think the victim's girlfriend is the ex-girlfriend of the suspect.

"So right now it's still in it's preliminary stages so far," said JPD Officer Colendula Green.

The girlfriend who was not identified but she was taken to JPD headquarters for questioning.
