WARREN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Vicksburg Police say a man is behind bars for robbing two businesses and it's because of a joint effort between both the Vicksburg Police Department  and the Warren County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say 41-year-old Kevin Satterfield of Vicksburg was arrested Saturday for robbing two convenient stores in the area and one of the crimes took place Friday.

Friday's armed robbery occurred at the Kangaroo Convenient Store located at 574 Highway 61 North in Vicksburg.

Satterfield is also accused of robbing the BG Jr. Convenient Store located at 4110 Clay Street  in Vicksburg on April 2.

Officials say on both robberies clerks reported a male, fitting the description of Satterfield, walked into the stores, showed a firearm and demanded money.

Satterfield is charged with two counts of armed robbery and two counts of a felon in possession of a firearm.

No injuries were reported in the crimes.

Satterfield will appear in court on April 11.
