JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

This weekend dinosaurs roamed the earth again, well at least at the Jackson Convention Complex where thousands stepped back in time for "Discover the Dinosaurs".

The walk through exhibit features more than 50 live action prehistoric creatures.

A brave few even took a ride on the back of a T-Rex.

Kids of all ages learned about the beasts that lived 65 million years ago when the giant reptiles ruled.

Future paleontologists got a great career start examining the different moving and realistic dinosaurs.

"You get to learn about the dinosaurs, see them, touch them, feel what they were like, learn the basic things, as well as go over and have fun.  We have our amusement side, our mini golf, the bounce houses, mining, panning, face painting, a lot of stuff," said Chris White with Discover the Dinosaurs.

The two day exhibit wrapped up Sunday at seven p.m.
