Wednesday, the Boys and Girls Club was filled with grown ups who rolled up their sleeves to make improvements at the Teen Center in Jackson. The Teen Center, on Raymond Road, was in desperate need of repairs and updates.
Aaron's Incorporated has pledged five million dollars over the next three years to make renovations on Boys and Girls Club facilities across the country.
Volunteers from Aaron's spent the day working on the Teen Center to have it ready for an unveiling Friday.
"We're doing a lot of painting of the walls, we've actually donated a lot of merchandise," said Aaron's Divisional Vice President Justin Hafer. "We have furniture, big screen TVs, surround sound systems, computers for the kids up there in their rooms."
The company plans to work on 24 different locations. The Jackson Teen Center is the twelfth facility to get a face lift. The hope is the renovations will help boost membership and provide teens with a safe and healthy environment.
