Jackson fire investigators believe someone deliberately torched a business on McDowell Road early Tuesday morning.
We have video evidence of people at the scene prior to the Exxon gas station going up in flames. The video is not clear and taken in the dark from a business across the street. It shows up to three people running into the store then out.
We spoke with JFD Division Chief Cleotha Sanders Thursday about the evidence they are looking into.
"On the video they did observe those 3 individuals enter the store, spend some time in the store, in and out to where they believe this fire was set intentionally," said Sanders.
No one is under arrest and fire investigators will have evidence from the crime scene examined to find out what chemical was used to destroy the Exxon station on McDowell road. ATF agents are also involved in the case.
Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call the Jackson Fire Department or Crimestoppers.
